WELCOME TO PAPER BEAD...
I've heard it said --- and you have too --- that a picture is worth a thousand words.
And I believe it. They truly are... sometimes, even more than a thousand... and unfortunately for me, there have been many worth considerably less than that, but you get my point.
The more pictures I shoot the more I realize that the stories behind the shots --- those words --- are sometimes just simply worth telling. Around here, you'll find a bit of a journal of the things on my heart when I look through my camera lens.
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Thank you so much for dropping by! My name is Janna, and at this point in my life, I am a very amateur photographer. So much so that I carry my camera manual almost wherever I go because I never can remember how to adjust this or change that or turn that off! As the wife of a very busy businessman and the mother of two rambunctious bundles of kinetic energy, I have found it difficult at times to really "practice" the art of photography. But I love taking pictures! So, I am trying to take pictures whenever I can, wherever I can, and of whatever I can.
The most important thing to know about me is this: I love Jesus!
I'm talking about the kind of love that rearranges your life... the kind that compels you to do things you never dreamed of doing...
or go somewhere you never thought you'd go...
or love someone you never thought you could.
The kind of love that says "Come and die, so that you can truly live!"
Have you ever loved someone that much?
I say this because it might clarify my next statement: I have no desire to be a "professional" photographer. What I aspire to be is a servant photographer... someone who uses the interests, abilities, and equipment God has given me to bring Him glory, to proclaim His name, and to show love, mercy, and justice to His children!
My ongoing prayer for my "hobby" or "ministry" or whatever you may call it and for this site is this: God, would you take my ordinary creations, infuse them with your beauty and purpose, and use them to tell the story of your everywhere, everyday grace?
Thank you for visiting.
